What is the objective of the project?
The American People Project is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating the largest collection of photographic portraits taken during any period in history.
What are you going to do with the images when the project is finished?
We plan to donate the entire collection of images to a national museum or archival library along with a State Museum in each of the fifty states, so the collection is accessable to the public.
How many people have you photographed so far?
To date we have photographed thousands of people from 45 states.
What is the largest size prints you will make?
At present the largest size print we will be making is 60x90 inches.
Who can participate in the project?
Anyone living in the United States.
I am an organization or company - will you photograph my employees or members?
Yes, depending on our travel schedule and your location.
Does it cost to particpate in the project?
No. The project is free to anyone who wishes to participate.
What do I get if I particpate in the project?
You will receive a digital image of your photograph to download and print.
